Duck and Rice

This place just kept coming on my Instagram feed and I couldn't ignore it any longer! Duck and Rice is a quirky British style pub that serves great Chinese food.

Food

We initially started with couple of cocktails - I went for the Hayman London Dry G&T with elderflower, blueberries and raspberries and my friend went for the raspberry Caipirinha. I mean that counts as part your five-a-day right!?

For our dim sum we went for the Mooli puff, pan fried chicken gyoza and the scallop shumai.

We couldn't come to Duck and Rice and not try their crispy aromatic duck!

Ambience

The restaurant has a ground floor bar area and then a dining area upstairs with a casual feel. I really liked the feel of this place - you could either grab a drink downstairs where the atmosphere was little more lively or go upstairs for a cosier feel.  We wanted to have a proper girly catch up so were happier to be upstairs where it was a little quieter.

I wish I'd taken pictures of the decor because although being described as an English pub it almost had an air of Baz Luhrmann's Great Gatsby to it with the geometric patterns and brass finishing.

Service

The Service was great - they explained things we weren't sure about and made recommendations when we couldn't chose between a few dishes. Our food came pretty quickly which always makes us happy!

Conclusion

I'm long overdue for another visit here!
